Dr. Ali Tamsen

• Ali Tamsen, MD, FRCP(C), FCAP

Dr. Tamsen grew up in a small Kurdish town of Turkey, a place which had a population of only 5,000 people. During his time there, he placed a heavy importance on his schoolwork and excelled in the classroom, which led to his acceptance to attend Medical School at Istanbul University. His hard work and dedication earned him residencies at both McGill University and Dalhousie University, two well-regarded institutions in Canada. His experience in these places prepared him for his future career.

After completing his work in Canada, Dr. Tamsen traveled into the United States to continue his training with Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. During this time, he earned Board Certifications in Anatomic Pathology from American Board and from Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Over the years, he accrued experience and knowledge which was valuable in his next venture: opening a new and successful pathology laboratory. As the years passed, Tamsen continued to grow in his skill set after practicing pathology for 30 years leadership in pathology laboratory at several laboratories including Sinapath Medical Pathology Laboratory and we are appreciate his service.
